Be Bold, Be Real, Be Seen

Acting Is My Life

Marie‑Claire Giraud has recently expanded her artistic repertoire with a fresh pursuit in acting, building upon an already distinguished career as a soprano, jazz singer, composer, and playwright. She first appeared on stage as Klamian in "Anthony and Cleopatra" and then played Marcus Andronicus in Titus Andronicus, both by Shakespeare. She made her off-Broadway debut in the Tennessee Williams one‑act play, "Hello from Bertha" in 2023 and Cherry House in 2025, both at Theatre Row.

In 2024, Giraud made her first on‑screen debut in the indie short film $FREE99, which is slated to premiere at major film festivals in 2025.
This marks a significant moment as she transitions into a feature film, Love & Bones, with her first lead role already lined up in a feature scheduled for release in 2026.
Marie-Claire continues to bring emotional depth and musical sensitivity to her screen work—qualities honed over years commanding jazz and operatic stages worldwide.

With her multifaceted talents, Marie-Claire's acting career is poised to grow in parallel with her celebrated musical achievements, offering audiences a richly expressive artist who moves seamlessly between song and performance.

Reviews
“ The Goldie of Marie-Claire Giraud is a manual of caring and the gentlest essay in tough love one can hope for.”

—Theaterscene.net Anthony Marinelli
”The cast of these four works is enthusiastic, committed, and strives to attain the brass ring... with Giraud and Welsh particular standouts in their respective roles. Patrons would do well to experience these rarely-produced works of an American playwright icon. The chance may never come again to witness such theatrical writing genius.”
—NitelifeExchange.com - Marilyn Lester
“ Ms. Giraud has beautiful moments when she embraces and comforts Bertha and moments of desperation when she is pressured by her pimp. Ms. Giraud’s is a nuanced and fully realized Goldie and a standout performance.”
